Here are some pointers that will help you make a good choice in selecting a real estate agent that’s right for you:

• Speak to at least two or three different agents before selecting one.  When you contact any agent, remember to ask --
  Does the agent customarily sell property of a type similar to yours?
• Is the agent’s company well known and respected?
• Does the company advertise consistently? (Ask to see samples of the type of advertising and promotion you can expect to receive)
• Does the agent hold additional certification such as Realtor®, e-PRO and GRI,  which indicate that the agent has received special training?
• Can the agent provide a list of satisfied customers and recent sales?
• Can the agent provide a “CMA” or comparative market analysis of the property’s current value based on recent comparable property sales?
• Finally, are you “comfortable” with the agent? Is it someone with experience, knowledge and a willingness to go the extra mile for you?
